Yes, Sundance Cinemas Gift Certificates in $10 and $25 denominations are available for sale at the Concierge Desk at Sundance Cinemas. Gift Certificates are accepted everywhere in the building for movie tickets and all food and beverage locations.

When will the next Sundance Cinema open?
The Sundance Kabuki unveiled after a complete remodel on December 14, 2007. We've also announced two more locations, Chicago and Denver. These will open over the next 2-3 years.

What kind of movies play at the Sundance Cinemas?
We play the finest art, independent, world and documentary film available. A screen is programmed alongside a calendar affording more esoteric movie choices, as well. We also play quality selections from major distributors.

What makes Sundance Cinemas different from other movie theatres in Madison?
Sundance Cinemas in Madison features 6 all stadium seated auditoriums with extra comfortable seats, and digital sound and superior film and pre-show presentation featuring shorts and features from the Sundance Channel. We only play the finest film choices available. The atmosphere and finishes throughout the theatre have the look and feel of both the Sundance and Madison aesthetic. We feature local Madison artists on our gallery wall space. We have bars and bistros, lounges with wi-fi access and retail space all designed to create a 'third place' atmosphere. There's no need to purchase a ticket to the movies to visit our location.

Please explain the reserved seating choices at Sundance Cinemas in Madison?
Every seat for every show is sold on a reserved seating basis. Tickets are available for purchase either on the web with print at home capability, at the ticketing kiosks or at the box office. We feel that offering this service relieves some of the stress of planning a trip to the movies, plus you get to choose your very favorite seat every time!
You have a choice as to when and if you need to pay for your reserved seat. There is no amenities fee Monday through Thursday for the first show time. After that, as the day progresses towards the evening 'prime shows', the amenities fee is anywhere from $1.00 up to $3.00. We're presenting a first class experience, with a state of the art theatre, no annoying television commercials, free internet wi-fi and real butter on our popcorn.

Is there a Sundance store?
The Gallery 608 can be accessed both from the mall and our theatre lobby. We sell film related items, Sundance logo clothing and Sundance branded merchandise. Local designers and artists have the opportunity to present their work alongside the carefully selected merchandise sold by the various Sundance brands. In addition, hand crafted items from the Sundance Resort's Art Shack will be sold.

Are there Bars and Bistros, too?
The Sundance Cinemas in Madison is home to the Bar Bistro 608, serving fine small dishes and appetizers along with a full bar, plus the seasonal Rooftop Bar, a great destination for casual drinking and dining with great views of the surrounding areas. Sundance Cinemas has full catering capabilities for special events, company meetings or theatre rentals.

Is there a cafe to enjoy before the movies begin?
Yes, our Caffe 608 is open from 9 a.m. to late at night, 7 days a week. We serve San Francisco-based Peet's Coffees and Teas with espresso drinks and fresh breakfast fare beginning in the morning. In the afternoon, we have fresh sandwiches, smoothies and wraps, plus the classic movie favorites like popcorn, soda and candy throughout the day and evening.

Does Sundance Cinemas play TV style commercials before the feature?
A very adamant NO. We believe that your movie going experience should be completely different from staying home and watching television. Being barraged by commercial messages is just not what we are about. You will be entertained and educated with shorts and features from the Sundance Channel, plus content from other interesting sources.
